Who is the program suitable for?

The line is suitable for those who are deaf and minority speakers and who want to learn Norwegian sign language and to learn Norwegian reading and writing. It is also suitable for those in the introductory program.

This is what you will learn

You learn to use Norwegian sign language and develop skills in Norwegian reading and writing that are adapted to your level. We work with practical communication, deaf culture and history, and give you knowledge about Norwegian society, rights and the use of the interpreting service.

Our expectations of you
  • Engagement: We expect you to participate in teaching and take responsibility for your own learning.
  • Respect: We expect you to be open and accepting of diversity among fellow students and staff.
  • Responsibility: We want you to contribute to a positive and supportive environment both on the line and at the school in general.
